杨应明医生（Dr Nicholas Yeo），是一位受过双项专科培训的高级矫形骨科医生，具有优异的专业和学术资格。2020至2023年间，他担任新加坡中央医院足踝服务部主任，现任杜克-新加坡国立大学医学院临床助理教授。
2007年，杨应明医生毕业于新加坡国立大学。随后，他接受矫形骨科的专业培训，并于 2015 年获得爱丁堡皇家外科学院（矫形外科和创伤科）院士资格。
之后，他荣获新加坡卫生部颁发的卫生人力发展计划（HMDP）奖学金，继续深造并接受足踝外科高级分科培训。他在加拿大著名的英属哥伦比亚大学完成为期一年的研修，他在那里接受磨练以提升自己治疗复杂足踝损伤的技能和知识。
此外，他还获得德国卡尔古斯塔夫卡鲁斯大学医院颁发的下肢创伤和重建外科的AO奖学金，进一步拓宽他在下肢重建手术方面的跨洋视野和技能。
在亚专科方面，他感兴趣的领域包括足踝、运动和重建外科。特别是微创或锁孔手术，他是这方面的坚定拥护者。值得一提的是，他是为数不多在拇外翻锁孔手术方面有丰富经验的外科医生之一。
他还热衷于利用 3D 打印技术开发针对患者状况的特定植入物和导板，以改善下肢重建和畸形矫正手术的临床效果。作为新加坡中央医院3D打印中心的临床协作医师和主要顾问，他无疑是站在这尖端技术最前沿的佼佼者。
杨应明医生是一名尽忠职守的一流专业医护人员，总是优先考虑给予患者最佳的医疗服务。敬业的他还因此多次获得新加坡中央医院颁发最佳服务奖。在临床实践中， “一切以病人为中心 ”是他恪守的座右铭。
他凭着渊博的专业知识，多次受邀在本地和国际骨科会议上发表讲话，也曾在同行评审期刊上发表过五十多篇论文，包括书籍章节。为了表彰他在双室膝关节置换术方面的研究成果，他于 2014 年荣获显赫的新加坡骨科协会青年骨科研究员奖。
杨应明医生热心公益，致力回馈社会。尽管工作繁重，他仍然在百忙中抽空服务大众，并担任女皇镇综合服务中心主席一职，为该中心的老年人提供日间康复服务。此外，热爱运动的他也积极参与体育活动。他曾在大学期间带领校网球队在比赛中赢得胜利，还因此被授予大学彩色奖的荣誉，以表扬他对这项运动的贡献。
由于他曾经参与过高水平的网球比赛，因此能切身体会受伤运动员面临的问题，而能更好地指引他们踏上康复之路。这些年来，他医治过许多国家级运动员，并陪伴他们直到全面康复。
